Haiti earthquake disaster

The External Affairs Minister met representatives of 12 Scottish non-governmental organisations (NGOs) this afternoon (Friday) to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Haiti. Fiona Hyslop called the meeting to gather intelligence from the Scottish international development community on the latest situation and to help establish how the Scottish Government can best support the Scottish response. The Minister asked the organisations present to identify their requirements for support as soon as possible.
